Now that Thanksgiving is over I’m ready to put my wardrobe into full Holiday Mode. I decided to compile a list of my November-December style favorites for 2017, most of which can also be worn throughout the winter season.
Uniqlo Fluffy Yarn Full-Zip Jacket
These sherpa-inspired jackets have been trendy for a few years now. This particular piece from Uniqlo is a lightweight layer with the coziness of a sherpa jacket or pullover with less bulk. It’s perfect as an early fall transition piece or a layer under a heavier coat. Plus, it’s SUPER soft with just the right amount of warmth. I got it in the silvery grey color but it comes in a variety of seasonal colors.
Vineyard Vines Jolly Plaid Cotton Cashmere Button Down
I’ve had my eye on this shirt for a few weeks and I finally picked it up during my Black Friday shopping this past weekend. I’ve been looking for the perfect festive plaid shirt for years now. Usually everything I find is just not quite right- too muted, too pastel, wrong shades for my skin tone, unisex cut that looks frumpy over my curves…etc. This one is absolutely perfect and I was soooo excited to find it. It’s soft, warm, flattering (for a woman with a larger bust that still wants a tailored fit!) and the perfect color scheme (Christmas-y, but not Christmas-exclusive) to wear all season.
It’s not just silver, it’s not just sparkly. It’s Christmas ornament, fine craft glitter, fairy lights and tinsel. Perfect to take you all the way through New Year’s, plus- it’s a neutral! It’s so shimmery, sometimes I find myself just staring at it…lol. I went for the gel because otherwise I have to repaint nearly every day, but it’s available in regular polish as well, part of OPI’s 2017 Holiday collection.
Target Women’s Holiday Sweater Pinafores
OMG. I should have known Target was going to step up their game for the holidays this year after their Halloween collection featured an orange, faux-velvet, bat-themed dress, but they have really gone all out for this season. Ugly sweaters are ubiquitous now but ugly Christmas jumpsuits? Crop top/circle skirt separates? Or, my personal choice, the “ugly” Christmas sweater dress. If Christmas isn’t your party, they also have a great Hanukkah collection, including a light-up menorah sweater. This collection really has raised my expectations spectacularly. In future years, if I don’t see a velvet dreidel-themed party dress I’m going to feel like something went wrong.
Sephora Collection Colorful Shadow and Liner – Gold
If you’re going to have silver nails, why not turn yourself into an actual Christmas tree with a shimmery gold eye look?
This jumbo pencil liner glides on super smooth and can be worn as a liner or blended into a shadow. Although it may appear quite pigmented, the first layer is translucent so it’s relatively subtle for a shimmery metallic, but buildable. Perfect for a holiday party… or every single day from now until January.
The big question is where can I buy that mug? It’s sooo cute!

Thanks! 🙂 I got it at Disney World when I was there in October but you can get it online: https://www.shopdisney.com/santa-mickey-mouse-and-friends-happy-holidays-mug-1414616
Disney has sooooo much cute kind of vintage-y looking Christmas stuff this year!

Oh I love the vintage vibes! I miss the old Mickey.
I’m so sad that they don’t have this in the UK stores, I just checked (*she cries dramatically like a 3 year old*)

Ahhh that is sad!! 😥 I love the old mickey too! The Christmas scenes on their merch remind me of that old short “Pluto’s Christmas Tree” -it was always my favorite as a kid! “Mickey’s Christmas Carol” too.
