I love seeing all the lights and decorations around DC this time of year and I knew City Center was going to go all out as usual, so my boyfriend and I decided to stop by on our way to movie night with a friend. We missed the life-size igloo due to unusually warm and sunny weather, but it still looked pretty magical.
We stopped into Dolcezza for coffee (the seasonal “snow day” chemex pourover is really good) and to work on our personal projects- in my case some upcoming lists for this blog.
Afterward we walked over to Chinatown to see Coco which was AMAZING- absolutely beautiful animation, great soundtrack, I cried. Also, for the Frozen-obsessed, there was a 20 minute short set in Arendelle before the movie.
I’ll be back in that area soon to check out the downtown holiday market, and we also passed Miracle on 7th on the way home- one of my favorite DC holiday traditions (look for that post soon!).
